At some point toward the end of July 2025 my long time DCUO forum account was deleted. The devs restored what they could based on the last snapshot on Way Back Machine, but my newly created account, although has the same name and some numbers, remains detached from all past activity. So I thought I'd try to aggregate what I could on a static post here:

Setting Up OBS & Gamepad Viewer for UX Testing

After a couple of tests, I found the OBS setup with control pad overlay to work very well and is a useful tool in user experience/intent testing. It's an onscreen representation of control pad input that syncs up with gameplay. It can be used to check that input results the proper output in game.
