Site Update (June 2026)

Image
Supergirl and Kryo Jennyx in Antimatter Metropolis I looked back at some past content I created spread across different platforms, before creating this site. Things tend to be easier to search on Blogger than the DCUO Forums, YouTube, X, etc. The DCUO Forums are using a proprietary software and don't have a modern dynamic search, so that is nearly unusable. You're actually better off going to Google and then search DCUO Forum + $SEARCH_TERM. YouTube just has too much garbage on it. X actually has an accurate search, but it takes too many steps. Blogger's tagging system is simple, but clean. I don't cover that many subjects here anyway. I plan to move some of those items over here. A few user guides may not be totally relevant anymore, but I will note that on the top. I think even old guides have historical value because they show the changes across the eras. Older instances that had heavy mechanics used to take a lot of coordination and may have been cancelled out by ho...

Tribute to the P90

Image
The P90 is a unique and practical submachine gun and is Earth's weapon of choice for battling aliens on the ground! It was the weapon used by the 4-person SG teams in Stargate SG-1 . Colonel O'Neill and Captain Carter demonstrate why it's both versatile and formidable... Aside from Stargate, the P90 is a real life weapon made for vehicle usage, given it's short barrel and top loading magazine. You can easily step out of a jeep or tank and be in ready position instantly. For the same reason it makes sense with gate travel where the SG teams are constantly dumped into unknown terrains and threats. For more on the P90, click here . In DC Universe Online Opening 25 of the Absolute Gotham Time Capsules released on June 2, 2026, you can now have the P90 weapon and back styles for your Stargate themed characters! Apparently, the weapon is also used by Absolute Catwoman, who is being featured in this capsule. I had suggested this style ages ago with the caveat that it needed a...

DCUO: Returning Players

Image
Azrael in Bombshell Paradox It can be overwhelming to return to a 15 year old MMO that's been through many structural changes and core enhancements. It would take years to get up to speed at the rate you were grinding back when you first started and you'll always be behind current players who are grinding at the same rate, but didn't take time off. This article is designed for you to have a substantial amount of skillpoints with light but efficient grinding. Do these things to have anedge over new users who simply use a CR Advance token to skip to the current episodes. You'll have a  respectable SP-to-CR ratio. NOTE: This article was written in June 2026, with Episodes 51-53 being the recent 3. AAA Checklist Before diving into the episode content, it's important to make sure your character is squared away first. There have been many additions to the character's arsenal and they all start with "A." Below is the order in which you should activate them as...

DCUO: Supergirl Through the Years

Image
Jim Lee's Supergirl (2011) The original lineup of DCUO NPCs were largely based on Jim Lee's style and I personally label this the "Hush Era" because the big deal about that story arc was that we saw Jim Lee's Batman (along with Bat Family and Rogue's Gallery) and Superman in the same comic books. In a sense, this is what Supergirl would look like if she was mixed into that arc. This is also the pre-New 52 design. Thankfully the New 52 costume never made it to DCUO! Original DCUO Supergirl Bombshell Supergirl (2015) The Bombshells designs actually started out as fun illustrations by artist Ant (Aunt) Lucia, which then became variant covers. Out of popularity, the comic books turned them into an alternate universe in a WWII-like setting (Earth 24). And now, they're in a short DCUO episode (#15, Bombshells Paradox & Corrupted Zamaron , 8/12/2015) back when content was being released monthly. Though this design didn't batch replace Supergirl across the...

DCUO: Umbral Green Aura

Image
Character Showcase I actually decided to and completed my first DCUO Recruitment event. As outlined in my analysis of Ultimate Recruitment 2026 , I felt most of the items were not worth it for active players, but there was one unique variant item that doesn't drop anywhere else... the Umbral Green Aura , a variant of Red Umbral. I has a few days with some extra time so I put some effort into it. With all that work, I made sure to put it in the armories of my 3 green characters on the account. So let's start with that showcase! Sylvia Knight, Green Lantern Shaolin Longfist, Nature Xiao Qing (Green Snake), Nature The Event I am a bit uncomfortable with this particular event because I have a built-in completionist complex. When I normally level a new character, I go as slowly as possible farming out every side quest, exploration task, briefing, feat, etc. I come across with while doing the main storyline. This takes weeks. The recruitment event is meant for speeding through the ma...

DCUO: Summit of Sorrow Paths

Image
Unfortunately, there's no special trick in "Hope Burns Bright: Summit of Sorrow" solo mission for getting the Perfect Path run/feat. It is a run that you'll strive to get every time because it's not just a feat... it makes the daily mission significantly shorter. It's almost a 2x difference between the perfect run and all wrong. However, there are a few things worth knowing that can reduce a little bit of time: First, when the summit begins, the first 2 nodes are guaranteed blue and you can skip them to save a couple of minutes of combat. Just run... er... walk past both of them and either continue straight or turn right... either has equal chances at this point. The majority of the nodes work via conditional logic. If you come across a gray, then the adjacent one on the other path of the fork will be 100% blue. The 2 gray logos that have a blue glow on the map above are NOT at forks. If you pass either of these 2, the next one on the path will be 100% blue....

DCUO: Ultimate Recruitment 2026

Image
Being reluctant to both run through the leveling missions again and then have another alt to add to the lineup, I judge the rewards for these event harshly. So here's a list of all of the rewards and whether or not I think it's worth it. Gotham City Emergency Signal This is a kickstarter reward for the event. You don't actually have to do anything to get this other than log on to a character that's below level 30. Keep in mind that you can pass this to any character after that. The Gotham City Emergency Signal gives you a massive 25% XP boost while equipped, but with 1 per account, I think it's better to keep on an actively used character. It's an additional AoE damage that helps out from solo to alert. In some solo situations, it will clear adds as it does in leveling. Because of it's long cooldown, I do not save this to my armories, but will swap it in during combat if I need an additional 360 clear attack. And now for the rest of the rewards after you com...
