Alyssa Goldenblade: Red Phoenix

Alyssa is the "phoenix" counterpart to Shadowdragon's "dragon," so a lot of her styles will take on firebird characteristics... mostly with fire motifs. Outside of DCUO, I usually depict Alyssa with blue fire, but in game, the fire power gets red special fx, so I often end up color matching her armor.

Head: Celtic Crown
This is a lightweight glowing crown to go with the red special fx. The Celtic Crown without a material applied already looks like it has a material. In this case, I applied the red phoenix material just so it can be matched exactly to the back, shoulders & hands.

Back: Ancient Divine Sorceress
This Circe inspired cape was one of the styles I was waiting for with unlocks as it's only on the villain side. It's actually a popular style that encouraged enough heroes to go over and play a villain up to Amazon Fury II just to bring it cross-faction. It has an avian look while remaining a cape, which was perfect for Alyssa's phoenix style.

Chest & Legs: Themysciran Battlesuit + Amazon Strategos
Because this look was designed to take materials, I wanted a base set that exposed skin for contrast. I just think full body suits with materials are too much eye candy and look cheesy. The Themysciran top is a well armored piece and has the bracers built-in. While we don't have an armored skirt that exposes the legs, Strategos is pretty close. Even though the 2 parts are from different sets, the abdomen plates actually have lines that continue into the skirt. The Golden Age material unifies them in texture (they would not work together without a material) and also represents indestructable dragonmetal from Alyssa's home realm of Krynn (Dragonlance).

Shoulders: Biomech
Just a standard shoulder style I have on most hero sets to act as claws to a bat cape. It's given the same material as the back style for blending.

Hands: Bewitching Battlesuit
The Circe inspired vendor style is basically a hand aura. Since the armor from the chest includes the bracers, this was a great style to have that gives the impression Alyssa has 2 auras equipped. The glowing style also represents a shield type from Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning called a Talisman... a magic based shield that takes no physical space and activates on thought.

Waist: Dark Specter 2018
Another standard hero style for my characters.

Feet:  Themysciran Battlesuit
This is one of my go to feet styles as there aren't too many that are both slim and well armored. Golden Age material is once again used to help make it part of the base armor.

Aura: Red Nimbus
A visual match to the red phoenix material.

Accessory: Red Kryptonite Shards
A number of accessories look good with this style, but I chose red kryptonite to represent "prismere," which is the strongest mineral in the world of Amalur (Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning), an action RPG that I had Alyssa star in before DCUO. The floating shards are meant to be a companion to the hand talisman mentioned above.

Movement: Red Lightstream
Matching movement skin.
