Atlantis: March 2019 Vendor Additions

Vendor additions made their debut in Deluge when Daybreak would release new style items to jump traffic to the current DLC. The pattern they seemed to have settled on is 2 released, which we first saw in Teen Titans and now Atlantis. I would expect this going forward as well. The first round for Atlantis included the constricting eels accessory, golden age material and King of Atlantis style items (Aquaman's gloves, boots & belt). The March 2019 items will be covered below along with how I used them:

Ocean Master Helmet (Prince of Atlantis)

This is the head style from the updated Ocean Master costume (influenced by the Aquaman movie). Of the items in this release, this is the iconic, hence the one with the feat attached. While I don't have a character that really works with the style, I just placed it on my Red Lantern for when I use him in Atlantis content. Supporting styles include the Drift back with Aqualad shoulders as hard light constructs.

Drift Backpack

A highly requested item as it was displayed prominently on the Drift Soldiers. Other parts of the outfit were already int he game through investigations/collections, many assumed this was one of them. It also works as a "Bat" themed device because of the shape of the side wings. It's also another item that doesn't really fit my characters, but a few of them will wear it on their temporary Atlantis outfits.

Moonstone Material

The material is usually the gem of a mid-DLC vendor release and it's no different with this set. Moonstone is essentially a blue version of Golden Age or Glorious. These are now my 3 favorite of the fancy (non-plain) materials. In my head, I divide materials into 2 groups: 1) for use with the base armor (chest, legs, feet); 2) special fx (back, hands, shoulders, weapon). The ones that look more solid and/or have a slower animation are the first type while the super flashier ones are the 2nd. Moonstone (like Golden Age & Glorious) are great for base armor as they are both solid looking and provide contrast for the shapes they take over. They also don't overwrite most of the 3-D model's lines.

Backup Skins
Not pictured, because I probably won't buy these (maybe later down the road) are the backup skins. The heroes get Sea-touched Atlanteans while villains get Drift Guards. Both types are exactly like the NPCs we encounter throughout the episode.

Twitter Survey

Another Moonstone set I created, but didn't save because I had no additional armory for it.
