Aleena Goldenblade: Sentinel of Magic

Image
It's always fun to dress for the episode. Since Aleena moved from Event Atlantis to JLD, I had armory space to create a matching outfit on her. So I went with Sentinels of Magic. Side by Side with NPC Head: Ancient Amazon Noble The closest style to the actual uniform is Greco-Roman, but it can't be colored the same way because the player style is metallic & the NPC is more plastic. But when I dress my characters, I want them to still look like themselves, so I don't want to cover up the head. The twins usually wear one of the Wonder Woman tiaras. In this case, I favored Ancient Amazon Noble because it has a solid base color with metallic studs. [from Amazon Fury II  Raids or Rare Style Vendor] Back: Themyscrian Battlesuit The Sentinels don't have a back style, so I just chose one of my favorite weapon backs. [from Amazon Fury II vendor (hero)] Chest: Enhanced Drowned I normally match the chest & leg slots, but Drowned is a special piece that actua

Justice League Dark: Van Helsing Lamp

Image
The Van Helsing Lamp is an item that acts like a mini artifact and works in the same way as the Halloween Trick-or-Treat bucket. You rank it up quickly with essences that drop from Justice League Dark. There are 4 levels at 250xp, 500xp, 750xp & 1,000xp for a total of 2,500xp (or 10 essences). You get the lamp during the alert portion of the pointer mission (or possible the first time you run the alert as well). After you defeat Etrigan and "get to the choppa," Steve Trevor gives you the lamp and you get a feat for it as well! TIP: You'll want to pay attention to your Van Helsing lamp's XP & not overshoot it. Split reagents accordingly to maximize breakthrough. Once the lamp is filled up, you can use it to produce a bunch of random consumable flames. It will also give you another empty lamp to cycle through again. The possible consumables include: Radiant - Stuns adds; This one comes in handy for the 2 optional rooms that are packed with adds + a mi

Justice League Dark: Laser Tag

Image
Laser Tag is a feat in the new JLD: Darkness Rising alert where the team needs to make it through several laser barriers that are constantly turning on and off. It can be hard to control where to stop when moving forward from laser to laser, but this method will negate the distance timing completely and allow you to get through 100% of the time. In this simulator I setup in the league hall, the rope barriers represent the lasers. The pub dividers are the walls. The monitors ahead are for timing purposes.  1) Move up close to the first laser barrier (represented by the rope barriers in the simulator). The images are using the right side, but you can use the left if that angle is more comfortable for you. You're going to angle the camera slightly facing the corner. The basis of this method is that the corner where the laser emitted meets the wall is completely safe to ram into. 2) The moment the image changes on the monitors ahead (this represents the laser turnin

Update 94: Source Marks

Image
Another major part of Game Update 94 that eclipses the Spring seasonal event is the latest currency transition to Source Marks! The long time Marks of Victory are getting converted into a  more "universal" unit along with some of the older currencies. Find out how they will affect you in this breakdown.

Update 94: Mentor & Player Skins

Image
Game Update 94 is packed with more features than just the expected annual Spring Event. In this video, we're just taking an in-depth look at the human skins that can be applied to our characters as well as updated mentors. The above screenshot features the retextured Batman (but still featuring the Jim Lee proportioned model); Updated Human Skin on Alyssa; and completely remodeled Wonder Woman inspired by Nicola Scott's style.

Justice League Dark: Chaos Gotham LIVE!

Image
It's pretty interesting how different a reused zone can be when the starting point is different. It was a good part of Gotham to use as well because we don't often visit that central part of Gotham other than leveling. The efficiency of the daily missions are comparable to Titans & Atlantis, so no complaints there. The majority flow smoothly with only the Possessed Magents (though Possessed Sentinels is OK) being a slight bottleneck. The ARGUS weekly collection is pretty fair. I was afraid of spawn rate against live traffic back when it was on test, but it's totally fine after going up. You do end up getting a lot between missions and it completes naturally without additional effort. The only thing i would change about open world is the scaling of the bounties. I think the Pod Daemon should have been the 8-man because it has less mechanics. The Daemon Lord, because of the color/power options is going to get run more with coordinated groups, so it would have bee
