Celestial Eyes is a 1924 painting by Francis Cugat, but most known for being the original cover art for Francis Scott Fitzgerald's novel The Great Gatsby. The image is a combination of 2 references in the novel: The billboard of Dr. Eckleburg watching over the Valley of Ashes and Daisy Buchanan. For more information, see:

The image of Lyssa Drak watching over The Book of the Black in DC Universe Online's Raging Night episode looks striking similar to Celestial Eyes, especially since Lyssa has bluish skin and yellow eyes. One has to wonder if it was inspired by it.


Here's a version I merged with Gotham Amusement Mile so that it looks similar to Coney Island at the bottom of the original...

Setting Up OBS & Gamepad Viewer for UX Testing

After a couple of tests, I found the OBS setup with control pad overlay to work very well and is a useful tool in user experience/intent testing. It's an onscreen representation of control pad input that syncs up with gameplay. It can be used to check that input results the proper output in game.
