DCUO: Copying Settings

It seems like a little thing, but it is a bit of a hassle to have to sync all of your DCUO settings to a new computer. But you can easily copy them over by following these steps:

1) First, go to the following location with your old system or the one that already has DCUO installed: 

C:\Users\$USERNAME\Documents\DCUO Save Data\

2) Display details and copy the directory with the most recent date (it will be a long string of capital letters and numbers) to a flash drive. This contains overall settings, character settings and you chat window layout/channels. It will have all of your accounts setup for the launcher. You won't need to cancel through all of the tooltips for new users. Chat will have whatever size, channels and other settings you had before. All of your ignore settings will be intact.

3) Then open this folder and select all contents.

4) Make sure DCUO is NOT running on the new computer. Copy all of that into the most recent dated folder on the new computer in the same location.

5) Startup DCUO and enjoy!

NOTE: The folder you copied and saved to the flash drive is also a good backup for when DCUO occasionally resets your settings. This can happen with some updates, crashes or repairs. Always keep an updated copy of this handy and outside of the original location.
