Site Update (June 2026)

I looked back at some past content I created spread across different platforms, before creating this site. Things tend to be easier to search on Blogger than the DCUO Forums, YouTube, X, etc. The DCUO Forums are using a proprietary software and don't have a modern dynamic search, so that is nearly unusable. You're actually better off going to Google and then search DCUO Forum + $SEARCH_TERM. YouTube just has too much garbage on it. X actually has an accurate search, but it takes too many steps. Blogger's tagging system is simple, but clean. I don't cover that many subjects here anyway.

I plan to move some of those items over here. A few user guides may not be totally relevant anymore, but I will note that on the top. I think even old guides have historical value because they show the changes across the eras. Older instances that had heavy mechanics used to take a lot of coordination and may have been cancelled out by how much power has been added to our characters over the major changes.

I'll start with guides that I published to the Justice Girls website for the league. I probably posted more there than any other platform. It'll be in chronological order, so many of my early posts will be archive information.

DCUO: Quicker Test Server Installation

General 1) Create this path if you don't already have it. If your regular DCUO is pre-Daybreak, you won't have this... Setting Up OBS & Gamepad Viewer for UX Testing

After a couple of tests, I found the OBS setup with control pad overlay to work very well and is a useful tool in user experience/intent testing. It's an onscreen representation of control pad input that syncs up with gameplay. It can be used to check that input results the proper output in game.
